| Whale
and Dolphin Watching |
|
A
land of whales and dolphins, the Azores are a true paradise for
whalewatching. In the last six years, 17 species of cetacean have
been seen in the archipelago’s sea.
A geographic localization that, in gone times, has attracted to
the archipelago North American whalers, and made many locals become
whale hunters. Today, the whaleboats already do not leave to hunt
cetacean.
The long fights in the sea are now only stories that the old whalers
still count outside the small boats’ warehouses. But the whales,
they have not abandoned the islands. They are wandering through
the waters waiting for us to visit them.
A dream that Hortacetáceos can help to fulfil. |
